ADT Workplace is set to deliver a new workplace for Uber-owned software company, Autocab, at No2 Circle Square in Manchester city centre. The move will see the company relocate from its current office space at Cheadle Royal Business Park, which the company has outgrown, to join a number of other high profile forward-thinking tech firms in the heart of one of Manchester’s most thriving business districts.

Following a 400% rise in revenues and 30% increase in staff over the past five years, Autocab has taken 20,000 sq.ft on a 10-year lease at Circle Square in Manchester, which will accommodate its existing team as well as provide room for future growth. With exciting plans for the future following its buy-out by Uber in January 2021, the company is aiming to create 200 new jobs by 2025. Following a competitive tender process, ADT Workplace was selected as the partner of choice to carry out the Cat B & C works for Autocab and help bring its unique vision to life.

Since appointment, the ADT Workplace team has spent considerable time working closely with Autocab to immerse themselves in the business and get a true understanding of its DNA, in order to further align the initial design with the company’s brand, vision and culture. Through this consultation process, which included a series of workshops held on location at Circle Square, the team has ensured that the final design will meet existing as well as future aspirations of the business and its people.

Split across 15th & 16th floors and equipped with the very best in modern technology and connectivity, Autocab’s new workplace will give employees more choice about where and how they work, and has been designed to aid innovation, creativity and collaboration, as well as support employee health and wellbeing.

Stacey Charlesworth, Design Director at ADT Workplace said: “Autocab’s move to Circle Square is an exciting development for the company, and will place it in the same location as a number of other high profile tech based businesses. With continued growth in the pipeline and competition for attracting and retaining talent tougher than ever, the new workplace has been created collaboratively with the team at Autocab, with its employees’ wants and need driving the design. We’re very much looking forward to getting on site to start bringing the vision to life, and ultimately delivering an exceptional workplace which pushes boundaries, promotes innovation, and supports the company in achieving future success.”

Works will commence on site in February with completion expected in June.
