As part of a long-standing relationship with Merseycare NHS Trust, ADT Workplace revitalised Walton Library, transforming it into a modern hub for community health, learning, and recovery.
Spanning 9,000 sq. ft, the project was completed in 14 weeks and now serves as a vibrant space for education, creativity, and wellbeing.
This new space, known as “Life Rooms,” supports the local community by offering innovative services and fostering a positive environment for personal growth.
Project Goals: Wellbeing, Community, and Inclusivity
The Walton Library transformation aimed to:
- Improve Health and Wellbeing: Create a welcoming space where individuals can access resources to support mental and physical health.
- Foster Community Engagement: Design flexible spaces for group activities, art exhibitions, and meetings.
- Support Lifelong Learning: Provide library facilities, IT and media suites, and classrooms for skill-building and education.
- Deliver Staff-Friendly Workspaces: Include modern offices and interview areas for staff to work effectively.

Seamless Collaboration & Delivery
A strong working relationship was maintained throughout the programme between ADT Workplace, Neptune North, and external partners. Early engagement with AV and IT suppliers ensured smooth integration of technology across the workspace.
ADT Workplace also worked closely with consultants Summers Inman and the landlord’s management team to maintain high standards of delivery and ensure a coordinated, well-managed fit-out.
