HUCKLETREE: A VIBRANT WORKSPACE IN THE EXPRESS BUILDING

PROJECT OVERVIEW

ADT Workplace partnered with Huckletree, a leading provider of creative workspaces, to transform the second floor of the iconic Express Building in Manchester.

This ambitious project added 11,400 sq. ft to Huckletree’s existing footprint and created a workspace that seamlessly merges the building’s art deco heritage with Memphis design influences. The result is a vibrant, high-performance environment where innovation and collaboration thrive.

Delivered in just 14 weeks, this project reflects Huckletree’s ethos of inspiring the next generation of businesses, scale-ups, and creative agencies in Manchester.

  • Enhance Connectivity: Integrate advanced technology, including a podcast studio and modern meeting room setups.

DESIGN AND DELIVERY: A UNIQUE WORKSPACE

ADT Workplace worked closely with Huckletree to deliver a workspace that captures the energy of Manchester’s creative and business communities. Key features include:
  • Breakout Bar: A standout social space with a curved island, dynamic LED lighting, and a high-tech coffee station for informal networking and community events.
  • Memphis-Inspired Meeting Rooms: Bright, geometric patterns, bold colours, and cutting-edge AV technology, including clickshare and integrated cameras, ensure these rooms are both stylish and functional.
  • Privacy Booths: Soundproof pods with acoustic wall panels and circular lighting, designed for quiet work or video calls.
  • Podcast Studio: A purpose-built space equipped with high-quality microphones, soundproofing, and recording technology, supporting Huckletree’s innovative members.
  • Flexible Serviced Offices: Separated by glass partitioning with dichroic film for privacy and visual impact, these offices adapt to the needs of small businesses and scale-ups.

Each design element reflects Huckletree’s bold vision while embracing the architectural heritage of the Express Building.
