ADT Workplace completes inspiring new office for interactive investor.
ADT Workplace has completed work on a full office design and refurbishment for interactive investor, the UK’s leading flat-fee investment platform. The 31,345 sq.ft newly refurbished office is located in Manchester’s financial hub on Deansgate and is a perfect modern environment for fast-paced, collaborative working.
Brief
Following a competitive pitch process, interactive investor selected ADT Workplace to undertake the full office design and refurbishment (CAT A, B & C) at its head office in Manchester. The platform, which offers award-winning services for DIY investors, was looking for a long-term home and true agile working space for up to 250 people, including a contact centre and digital hub.
Collaboration and innovation
The new space is designed to be elegant and timeless while promoting collaborative working, innovation and growth. At the heart of the modern open plan space is an elegant atrium, which includes areas for collaboration, relaxation and meetings. A feature architectural staircase joining the two floors facilitates communication and breaks down barriers between the contact centre and digital teams, allowing people to move around the office quickly and easily without the need for an external lift.
Stylish meeting pods have been installed to provide the perfect space for colleagues to collaborate and innovate. The office also now has a games room where team members can easily take time out of their day to relax and have a break with colleagues. Adding a touch of class, walkways are defined by beautifully streamlined anthracite ceilings with LED guide lights and herringbone floors. These create a unique journey through the open plan office for interactive investor and its visitors.
Interactive investor also has offices in London and Leeds, so a new technology platform was also implemented to create agile working and connectivity across all sites.
Transforming business
Commenting on the new office space, interactive investor’s CEO, Richard Wilson, said: “We chose to work with ADT Workplace as it was the organisation that best understood our needs. It was able to understand what we wanted to achieve and work with us to create the space we needed.
“The new work environment has been transformative for the business. It is much more effective than the working space we had previously and we are already seeing its benefits in terms of employee engagement, productivity, happiness and culture. With ambitious plans for rapid growth, we are confident that the new space will be key in helping interactive investor attract and retain the best talent. It is a fantastic space to not only work together in but also to relax. People feel proud to work here and proud to bring candidates and suppliers, and even family, to visit.”
True partnership
Tara Woloszijnl at ADT Workplace said: “Working with the interactive investor team was brilliant. They were involved throughout the whole process and were instrumental in helping create the collaborative spaces, such as the atrium, as well as quieter areas and meeting rooms. Because of this true partnership approach, we were able to create an inspiring and dynamic work space which met their needs and aspirations.”
