ADT Workplace has created a new office space for Unity Trust Bank Plc, the commercial bank with a social conscience. With an enviable location, the 10,800 sq.ft office is located on the 3rd floor of 4 Brindleyplace, a prestigious site in the heart of Birmingham’s financial district.

Brief
Having outgrown its existing office, Unity Trust Bank was looking for a new workspace which would accommodate its ambitious growth plans over the next 10 years and help the organisation attract and retain the very best talent. The new base also needed to reflect the company’s distinct brand and support its new way of working to echo core values of: enabling, collaborative, inclusive and straightforward.

Intelligent and agile workspace

By adopting a partnership approach from the very beginning of the process, ADT Workplace was able to consult and advise Unity Trust Bank on how to create a unique and inspiring environment. This would align its business processes with its people, while bringing the brand to life and helping the company stand out in a competitive industry.

With space for 100 employees and room for 30% expansion, the new open plan office incorporates areas for agile working, as well as formal and informal meeting zones. A business lounge and conference facilities offer a cleverly designed flexible breakout area where colleagues can relax and socialise, alongside a dedicated space for the company to host internal and external events.

Incorporating Unity Trust Bank’s corporate green throughout, the design is complemented by a softer palette of blues, greys and purples and natural timber finishes. ADT Workplace has created a vibrant, fresh and modern work environment, which will support and inspire the team while maximising productivity.

Improving employee engagement

Lindsey Podolanski, Chief Operating Officer at Unity Trust Bank said: “ADT Workplace has helped us to create our ideal office space, which strikes the perfect balance between being innovative, creative and professional. It provides the perfect environment for connection and collaboration among colleagues, and we have definitely noticed an improvement in motivation and engagement within the team. Recruitment specialists have also confirmed the positive impact of the new office to our overall benefits package, which will support us in attracting and retaining the best talent as we move forward with our growth plans.

“What’s more, the team were great to work with. Their partnership approach to project management was highly professional, with the team remaining visible, supportive and responsive throughout. All in all, the new space has exceeded our expectations with extremely positive feedback received from both employees and visitors.
