We are thrilled to announce that Henry Boot’s headquarters at the Isaacs Building in Sheffield has been honoured with the Best Commercial Fit-Out (under 2,500m²) award at the BCO Awards 2025.

This recognition is a true testament to the collaborative effort and dedication of the full project team. The office, delivered by ADT Workplace, was designed to reflect Henry Boot’s ambition to create a modern, people-focused workplace that also supports its long-term sustainability goals.

A vision brought to life

Henry Boot set out to create a headquarters that would empower its people and reflect the company’s culture. Designed by Incognito and delivered by ADT Workplace, the project involved transforming 12,800 sq. ft. across three floors of the Isaacs Building. The result is an inspiring, functional workspace tailored for collaboration, focus, and wellbeing.

Designed for how people work today

The new HQ offers a variety of work settings. These include open-plan desks, meeting rooms, breakout areas, and quiet pods. A striking oak laminate staircase connects the floors, making movement between spaces seamless. Each detail was considered to support Henry Boot’s hybrid ways of working.

High-end finishes, herringbone flooring, bespoke joinery, and bold but classic colour tones were used throughout. This created a stylish yet professional environment, bringing a strong identity to the space.

Built with sustainability at the core

Sustainability was key to this project. Compared to the former head office, carbon emissions are expected to reduce by 79%. The design features intelligent LED lighting, materials with low embodied carbon, and energy-saving technologies. Natural light floods the space through floor-to-ceiling windows, reducing reliance on artificial lighting.

Cycle storage, shower rooms, and changing facilities were included to promote active travel and support staff wellbeing. Every element was carefully selected to meet sustainability targets without compromising on style or comfort.
