Marketing and communications assistant

This is a new role, working with and reporting to the Marketing and Communications Manager, to support the delivery of the marketing strategy. The role will cover the full marketing mix, including PR and social, digital marketing, events, vertical sector marketing campaigns and internal comms.

We’re a small marketing team, so this is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a broad marketing role to take the next step in their career and be part of our exciting future plans as we grow the team and our business.

Skills/qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar marketing or communications role
  • Degree/Marketing qualification beneficial but not essential
  • Organised – ability to work on multiple projects with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Positive and proactive – glass half-full attitude, self-motivated with great initiative
  • Responsible and a good team player – willing to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in!
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Basic design skills are desirable but willingness to learn is essential

Estimator

We are looking for an experienced Estimator to join our growing team. In this role you will be responsible for the end-to-end estimating process, from brief through to the receipt of a client order, and handover to the projects team. Your role will involve liaising with sub-contractors to negotiate best value and quality, and ensure they are compliant, in order to develop competitive and successful bids. This is a great opportunity for someone that wants to develop their skills and progress their career in a highly collaborative and dynamic environment. 

 

Skills/qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position 
  • Experience in related industry
  • IT literate with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel 
  • Demonstrable numerical, analytical and cost analysis skills 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly productive, well organised and comfortable working to tight deadlines
  • An analytical and logical thinker with consistent attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task on concurrent projects and effectively manage your time
  • Responsible and a good team player and collaborator
  • Experience of design and build, and Cat A&B tendering experience desirable but not essential
